Die Kander ist ein Fluss im Berner Oberland. Sie ist rund 47 km lang und hat ein Einzugsgebiet von 1094 km². Mit einer mittleren Wasserführung von fast 43 m³/s ist sie der drittgrösste linke Nebenfluss der Aare. Der Name Kander geht auf vorrömisch *kando- «weiss, hell, klar» zurück.
