Kian John Francis Egan, known as Kian Egan, is one of four (previously five) members of Irish boy band Westlife. He was born Cian on 29 April 1980 in Sligo, Ireland. He attended Summerhill College secondary school, in Sligo. He plays many instruments inside and outside the group, including the piano and guitar and was a former member of Sligo punk rock group Skrod and was has then in a pop group called IOU with fellow Westlife members Shane Filan and Mark Feehily as well as Graham Keighron, Mich
