Christopher Houston Carson (December 24, 1809 – May 23, 1868), popularly known as Kit Carson, was an American frontiersman, fur trapper, wilderness guide, Indian agent and U.S. Army officer.
Singer,born Liza Morrow. Kit sang with the Benny Goodman band in the mid forties under the name Liza Morrow. Liza changed her name to Kit Carson in the mid fifties. Im 1955 she had her only hit recording (number 11 of the Billboard top 100) with the track: "band of gold".
