Leonid Krasin

Leonid Borisovich Krasin was a Russian diplomat, journalist, politician, and businessperson born in Kurgan in 1870. He held citizenship in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. Krasin served as an ambassador and was a member of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. He participated in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Congresses of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party, as well as the 12th Congress of the Russian Communist Party.

He was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Krasin died in London in 1926 from cardiovascular disease under natural causes. He is buried at the Kremlin Wall Necropolis. His written works include *Dela davno minuvshikh dneĭ*, *O pami︠a︡tnike Leninu*, and *Voprosy vneshneĭ torgovii*. His archives are held at the International Institute of Social History.
