Leverage segue uma equipa de cinco pessoas, entre eles, vigaristas, especialistas em roubo e computadores, liderados pelo ex-investigador de seguros Nathan Ford que usa os seus conhecimentos para corrigir injustiças praticadas em cidadãos comuns. A primeira temporada de Leverage consistiu em 13 episódios. Os escritores John Rogers e Chris Downey, e o produtor Dean Devlin pretendiam completar a história, e a série não ser renovada. Na segunda temporada a produção mudou-se de Los Angeles para Portland, Oregon, e estreou em 15 de Julho de 2009. Desde 2009 a série é exibida no Brasil pelo canal Space e passa na Band desde de 2010. Em 2012 a série foi cancelada.
