Matzingen (Swiss German: Matzinge) is a municipality in the district of Frauenfeld in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

During the High Middle Ages, the Freiherr of Matzingen had the low court rights. Sonnenberg began to rule over the village in 1402 and remained over the village until 1798.
