De klassieke möbiusfunctie is een belangrijke multiplicatieve functie in getaltheorie en combinatoriek. De functie is genoemd naar de Duitse wiskundige August Ferdinand Möbius (1790-1868), door wie deze functie werd geïntroduceerd in 1831.
