Peter Lindgren (born March 6, 1973) is a Swedish guitarist and songwriter. He is best known as the guitarist of Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. He joined the band in 1991 to play bass for a show; however, he ended up staying and switching to guitars. Lindgren shares Opeth's guitar and songwriting duties with vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt. Although both play solos, Lindgren's solos are somewhat more melodic and technical than Åkerfeldt's. This can be heard on the songs Deliverance from the alb
