Shaktoolik Alaska - Drone Photo Shaktoolik (Inupiaq: Saktuliq, IPA: [sɑktuleq]; Central Yupik: Cagtuleq) is a city in Nome Census Area, Alaska, United States. As of the 2020 census, Shaktoolik had a population of 212. Shaktoolik is one of a number of Alaskan communities threatened by erosion and related global warming effects. The community has been relocated twice.
