Das Newtonsche Kugelschalentheorem, manchmal auch Newtonsches Schalentheorem (benannt nach Sir Isaac Newton), ist eine Folgerung des Newtonschen Gravitationsgesetzes. Das Theorem wurde bereits in Newtons Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica bewiesen. Eine allgemein relativistische Verallgemeinerung ist das sogenannte Birkhoff-Theorem.
