Slimnic () is a commune located in Sibiu County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Albi, Pădureni, Ruși, Slimnic, and Veseud. Slimnic and Ruși villages have fortified churches. Slimnic village also has a medieval citadel.
The commune is situated on the Transylvanian Plateau, at an altitude of , on the banks of the river Slimnic. It is located in the central part of the county, north of the county seat, Sibiu. Slimnic is crossed by national road , which starts in Sibiu, goes through Mediaș, and ends in Sighișoara.
