Travel guide

Get in

To get to Tuzi you will need to take a bus from Podgorica. To find the buses in Podgorica you will have to ask around, they are about 400 m from Ulica Sloboda. Ask any young person and they should be able to help you. The taxi guys will want to charge you €10 to take you there. You can get there on a combi bus for about €2.

Get around

Buses number 41/42 go there from a bus stop in front of main bus station. Ticket is 1 euro.

See

About 10km out of Tuzi and towards Podgorica there is a wonderful stream that has cut a deep (30 m) canyon into the flat plains that Podgorica and Tuzi lie on. A clever entrepreneur then dammed a small section of this up to make a swimming resort and built a restaurant. This "resort" is located on the way to Tuzi, if you ask the combi driver he can drop you off at the entrance.

Do

Football: FK Dečić play soccer in First League, the top tier. Their home ground Stadion Tuško Polje (capacity 2000) is central in town. Sadar Lake (Lqeni i shkoders) is just 7 km away. There are picnic places, fishing, and bird shooting places. In Tuzi is also one of the biggest markets which is open air and have different products from Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, China, etc. It is open until 2PM.

Sleep

Hotel Liria in the center. Dine inside or outside in their gazebo dining hall while you're here. Good for sleeping.

Go next

Albania - To get to Albania you'll have to go and wait on the outskirts of the town on the road to the border. The best thing to do will be to find either a combi or pay a person who stops €5/person to take you to Skadar.
