Die Blauastrilde (Uraeginthus) sind eine Gattung innerhalb der Familie der Prachtfinken. Die Arten, die dieser Gattung zugeordnet werden, kommen nur auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent vor. Die systematische Zuordnung von Arten zu dieser Gattung ist noch nicht abschließend geklärt. Angola-Schmetterlingsfink, Schmetterlingsfink und Blaukopfastrild weisen sehr große Ähnlichkeit zueinander auf. Alle Männchen haben blaue Federpartien am Kopf, wobei beim Blaukopfastrild der gesamte Kopf bis zum Nacken blau ist. Uraeginthus is a genus of small seed-eating birds in the family Estrildidae that are found in Sub-Saharan Africa.
==Taxonomy== The genus was introduced by the German ornithologist Jean Cabanis in 1851. The type species was subsequently designated as the red-cheeked cordon-bleu.
