== Geography == Zatalovsky is located in forest steppe, on Khopyorsko-Buzulukskaya Plain, on the right bank of the Khopyor River, 42 km southwest of Kumylzhenskaya (the district's administrative centre) by road. Bukanovskaya is the nearest rural locality.
