Coesfeld Coesfeld ( German pronunciation: [ˈkoːsfɛlt]) is a Kreis (district) in the northwestern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, west of the city of Münster. Neighboring districts are Steinfurt, district-free Münster, Warendorf, district-free Hamm, Unna, Recklinghausen, and Borken.
