Proteus mirabilis Proteus mirabilis är en gramnegativ stavformig bakterie. P. mirabilis står för ca 90% av alla Proteusinfektioner hos människa. Det är vanligen en urinvägspatogen men kan även orsaka andra infektioner. Det är en stenbildande bakterie vilket kan leda till stenar i urinvägarna som kan påverka passagen.
