Subversão (do termo latino subversione) é uma revolta contra a ordem social, política e econômica estabelecida vigente. Pode manifestar-se tanto sob a forma de uma oposição aberta e declarada, como sob a forma de uma oposição sutil e prolongada. Durante a ditadura militar no Brasil, o Serviço Nacional de Informações produziu um dicionário de termos considerados subversivos que propagou o pânico moral da ameaça comunista.
