Theodor Lessing

Theodor Lessing was a German writer, philosopher, university teacher, and journalist. Born in Hanover in 1872, he resided and worked in the same city. He held a doctorate and was educated at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, the University of Bonn, and the University of Freiburg. Lessing served as an employee of Leibniz University Hannover and wrote in German, sometimes using the pseudonym Theodor Leusing.

He died in Mariánské Lázně in 1933 as a victim of homicide. His significant event involvement included the Nazi book burnings, and he is described as a Holocaust victim. His notable works include *La haine de soi*, *Volkshochschule als Kulturwert*, *Samuel zieht die Bilanz und Tomi melkt die Moralkuh, oder, Zweier Könige Sturz*, *Hindenburg*, and *Gesammelte Schriften in zehn Bänden*. He is described by the *Svensk uppslagsbok*.
