Jahrhundert ist Wächtersbach eine sonderliche Markung, dem Rittmeister Wambold zuständig 1787: Landgrafschaft Hessen-Darmstadt, Obere Grafschaft Katzenelnbogen und Kurfürstentum Pfalz gemeinschaftlich je zur Hälfte, Oberamt Umstadt 1787: haben die Kurpfalz und die Landgrafschaft Hessen-Darmstadt die Centgerichtsbarkeit gemeinsam inne. Centgericht Umstadt 1355 verkauft Gerhard von Sulzbach seine Güter zu Umstadt, Wächtersbach usw. für 400 Pfund dem Rudolf von Wambold von Umstadt. 1392 belehnt Pfalzgraf Ruprecht Eberhard Schelm mit dem früher fuldischen Lehen zu Wächtersbach. 1430 belehnt Pfalzgraf Ludwig Heinrich Groschlag mit genannten Gütern in Wächtersbach. 1454 tragen Forstmeister und Wambold Mühle und Mühlstätte vom Pfalzgrafen zu Lehen.
