Enolase that catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate in glycolysis and the reverse reaction in gluconeogenesis (By similarity). Has neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties on a broad spectrum of central nervous system (CNS) neurons.
